Joanne has traveled the world for inspiration on her artistic journey. The first artist to influence her was Claude Monet and her first art trip was to his home in Giverny, France. Later trips and classes in included many European cities, Mid-East Bali and San Miguel De Allende, Mexico.
She was one of the 13 American and Canadian art
Joanne has traveled the world for inspiration on her artistic journey. The first artist to influence her was Claude Monet and her first art trip was to his home in Giverny, France. Later trips and classes in included many European cities, Mid-East Bali and San Miguel De Allende, Mexico.
She was one of the 13 American and Canadian artists trapped in a remote mountain village near the Tibetan border for 6 days when a 7.9 earthquake devastated Nepal. These visual, cultural,and emotional experiences have enriched her art. Acrylic latex watercolor and mixed media are her preferred mediums.
She has atended art classes at Middlesex College and Louisiana Tech, as well as many art workshops and art residencies. Numerous awards including Best in show at Louisiana Tech Southwest, Waterloo Watercolor Society and several one woman shows.
Born and raised in Westwood, New Jersey, she is presently dividing her time between Austin, Texas and Truth or Consequences, New Mexico
